Reiki For Animals

Animal Reiki is a gentle, meditative energy healing practice that supports the well-being of animals by promoting relaxation and balance. Without physical touch unless invited, Reiki helps animals feel safe and calm. I’m currently seeking volunteers to practice this healing technique with dogs, cats, horses and other companion animals.

Seeking Volunteers for Practicing Reiki on Companion Animals

What is the service?

I’m looking for volunteers to help me practice Reiki on their companion animals.

How much does it cost?

Free. It’s for my practice.

Which animals?

Dogs, cats and horses. Although other animals would be interesting too.

Is it remote or in-person?

We could do either. Reiki works via Zoom or Skype because the energy surpasses time and space. For local people in Guelph or Waterloo Region, I could attend in-person if it’s mutually convenient.

Will the practitioner touch your animal?

In Animal Reiki, the practitioner doesn’t lay hands unless the animal explicitly invites it.

What do you have to do?

Not much, really. It helps if the room is calm and quiet. When working via Zoom, it helps if the animal stays in the camera as much as possible.

What does the session look like?

Since Animal Reiki doesn’t involve an initial laying of hands, I will mostly be in a meditative state working to connect with your animal’s energy field.

Animals communicate with energy and not voice, so there will be periods of silence.

The session is for my practice and learning, so I will probably stop and start frequently as I try different techniques or make notes.

How long is a session?

It’s up to us. 30 minutes feels like a good practice time.
